These studies show that Brock has minimal effect on surface stiffness thus allowing athletes to perform naturally and efficiently. In impact situations however, Brock reduced surface stiffness by an average 68% thus providing a safer environment for the athlete.
Another essential component of the base system is its ability to spread loads which reduces the likihood of ground settlement. Because Brock panels are rigid, point loads on the surface of the turf can be distributed over a significantly wider area over the ground. This characteristic allows Brock to replace a stone base while still providing the stability over the sub-grade under heavy loads commonly found on maintenance vehicles or ambulances.
