Brock PowerBase™ Performance & Safety

Performance AND Safety. Don't settle for anything less.

Before Brock, there was a choice the field owner had to make: safety or athletic performance. High performing, fast fields were stiff, and did not give the impact absorption of a well maintained natural grass field, which is about 100 G's. Others constructed with pads or e-layers gave you greater safety, but  felt unnaturally bouncy or too soft  which led to greater fatigue and less enjoyment on the field.

ADR: Another performance innovation from Brock

Brock’s Advanced Dynamic Response is the key to the performance of PowerBase. Created through a unique 3-D engineering of each panel, it provides a playing surface that feels natural under foot, plus a degree of safety not found in any other system. Unlike rubber or reinforced foam underlayment systems, PowerBase isn’t bouncy or spongy, which can cause the athlete to overcompensate during play and become more fatigued. The most respected sports governing bodies in the world have recognized the extreme performance of PowerBase and how it provides a more natural playing surface. Schools, city park departments and recreational facilities reap the added environmental and safety benefits of using a synthetic base system vs. stone. And NCAA and professional teams alike appreciate the added performance qualities delivered by ADR technology.

Impact GraphicImpact Absorption

PowerBase deforms only slightly when impact occurs, but it absorbs the blow by actually pushing it in multiple directions throughout the system’s surface. This provides a system of superior shock attention with minimal surface deformation and optimized playability.

G-Max  is an ASTM measurement used to determine the likelihood of a head injury. The average G-Max rating of a field constructed over PowerBase is 95-100 g's, the same as a professional level, perfectly maintained natural grass field. So you get all the benefits of synthetic turf related to playing hours and consistency, on a field that literally feels like natural grass.
